obscureoddities: Rosalia Lombardo was a 2 year old Sicilian child that died in 1920 from pneumonia. Her father sought out noted embalmer Alfredo Salafia to preserve her body. Her body was one of the last corpses admitted to the Capuchin catacombs of Palermo, and it is one of the best examples of the embalming art.
